Ala Vaikunthapurramlo Review

Trivikram - Allu Arjun is one of the hit combinations of  Tollywood. Together they delivered two hits Julai & Son of Sathyamurthy. Their third collaboration is Ala Vaikunthapurramlo. The film has hit the screens on January 12th. Let's see how the film is...

Story:

Valmiki (Murali Sharma) is jealous of his Boss Rama Chandra (Jayaram). He swaps his newborn son with a boy born to his Boss Rama Chandra.

Valmiki's son Raj (Sushanth) is raised in a rich family of Rama Chandra While Rama Chandra's son Bantu (Allu Arjun) is raised in a middle-class family of Valmiki. How does the truth come out? and what happens when Bantu comes to know the truth? forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

The core plot of the film is taken from the old film (Inti-Guttu). Though its a quite regular story, Trivikram blended it with good commercial elements and contemporary direction. The narration of the film is clean. Trivikram succeeds in telling the story in a clean and entertaining manner.

The first half entertains with some breezy Comedy scenes and romantic scenes between Pooja Hedge and Allu Arjun. Interval bang is perfect, And this is where the story gets a turn.

Second Half is a bit slow. However, Trivikram gives his own touch of entertainment and elevates the graph of the film with timely commercial elements. The audience surely enjoys the Board meeting scene and folk song at the climax. Though the story and scenes in the second half are predictable, The Film ends in a surprising way.

Artists performance:

Allu Arjun gives his best for the film. He impresses and entertains with his comedy timing, dance moves, and performance in emotional scenes.

Pooja Hedge looks beautiful and entertains with her glamour.

Murali Sharma plays a key role in the film. His performance will be remembered as one of his career's best.

Sushanth looks good in the film and He is apt for the role. Sachin Khedekar, Jayaram, and Tabu played other crucial roles and gave an adequate performance.

The Film has a solid cast and too many characters.  Sunil, Rajendra Prasad characters look loose and they are only for entertainment.

Technical Aspects:

Music by Thaman is like a backbone to the film. All Songs are very good and the Background score elevates the film.

Cinematography by Vinod is top-notch. Production values are excellent. Editing is good, However, should've been crisper in the second half.

Plus Points:

Clean Narration and breezy scenes
Allu Arjun Performance
Music
Emotional scenes

Minus points:

Routine story and few predictable scenes
A bit slow second half

Verdict:

Ala Vaikunthapurramlo is a cleanly narrated commercial entertainer. It has all the commercial elements required for a family entertainer. Go and watch it.

Rating:  3.25/5
